Human civilization has gone through two major types, namely agricultural civilization and industrial civilization, and has now entered the threshold of digital civilization. Digital civilization is a new form of civilization based on big data and centered on intelligence. China, along with developed countries such as Europe and the United States, has almost simultaneously entered the era of digital civilization based on big data and centered on intelligence. The emergence of digital civilization has elevated industrial civilization to a level of digitization and intelligence, and has elevated agriculture from production processes such as planting and breeding to transportation and warehousing, from raw materials to finished products, all to a level of digitization and intelligence. If agricultural civilization is the first attempt, industrial civilization is the second attempt, and digital civilization is the third attempt that returns to the origin. The digital civilization is a return to agricultural civilization in terms of thinking mode, surpassing industrial civilization. Confucian philosophy,based on agricultural civilization,will definitely provide more ideological foundation and value support in the era of digital civilization.
